1. What will the hair models be used for?

Bouffant Daddy will be holding monthly in-house classes for its stylists, who are already fully licensed cosmetologists, so that they may expand their skills in both cut and color of naturally curly hair.

2. What are the qualifications to be a hair model for Bouffant Daddy?

Men and women must have naturally curly hair. We also prefer that the models are hoping to make the most of their natural curl.

3. Are there any restrictions on models?

Yes there are 3 restrictions:

1. Models cannot be a current client of anyone at Bouffant Daddy.

2. Hair cannot be chemically straightened (relaxed).

3. Models must be 18 years of age or older, or have written permission from a parent or guardian.

4. Will I be paid for my time?

Hair models will not be paid, but they can expect to receive top-notch hair products and services at no charge. Services include, but are not limited to haircutting and coloring. Models will also receive a discount for a future service, in addition to a starter kit of products designed especially for naturally curly hair.

5. When will the classes be held?

Currently, classes are still to be announced. Ideally, they will be held on weekends or weeknights. Please allow 2-3 hours per appointment.

6. Do I have to go along with what the stylist wants to do even if I do not approve of the idea?

Models must simply be prepared to undergo a change of cut and color. It is not our intention to give models new styles that are inappropriate to their lifestyle or work environment. However, models should expect to leave a class with their hair looking and feeling different and better than before. Don’t worry, Bouffant Daddy isn’t going to give you a mohawk, unless of course you want one!

7. Will photos be taken?

Yes. Please expect to have your picture taken before and after so that we are able to document your transformation. Pictures may be used on our website and other forms of print. A model release form will be filled out and signed by either you, or if you are under the age of 18, your guardian. To verify your identity, please bring either a driver’s license or a student id.

8. Can I bring someone along on the day of my visit?

No, models must come alone, unless they are under the age of 18, then they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, but the adults are not required to stay the entire duration of the visit. Please do not bring friends, spouses, children, partners, etc.
